Dr. Billye J. Jones, LCSW
Dr. Billye J. Jones, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker, author, and educator. With a career rooted in child and family mental health, she specializes in preventing child sexual abuse (CSA) and supporting healing across generations.
As the author of "We Can Prevent Child Sexual Abuse: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers", Billye equips adults with the knowledge and tools to recognize abuse, disrupt grooming behaviors, and protect children. Her work also addresses the overlooked impact of trauma in older adults, the role of collective trauma, and the need for trauma-informed systems.

Billye leads workshops, trains social workers and educators, and partners with organizations to build prevention-based programs. Her mission is simple but powerful: empower families and communities to stop abuse before it happens, and ensure those who’ve experienced trauma are seen, heard, and supported. BSW Intern

Cassandra is a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Intern at Mercy University. As an intern, she has been responsible for developing this prevention website, managing social media, conducting research, and developing a grooming workshop.
Prior to entering the social work program, she has years of experience in direct client care in a hospital setting and in providing behavioral therapeutic services for neurodivergent children. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a Master's in Social Work (MSW) with the goal of working with adults who have experienced trauma in therapeutic settings.
Developing the We Can Prevent CSA website has expanded her skills and deepened her dedication to prevention and education. Cassandra is driven to continue promoting awareness and building safer, more informed communities.
